POOLE staged the Final of the Golden Crest on Friday night and the £3,000 decider went to Graham Cleverley's Lynnwood Bolt.
Sent off the warm 5-4 favourite, the popular local has the race won at the boxes when pinging out to make all beating Mays Rocknroller by 1 1/2L in 26.53sec.Friday results round-up from Poole and Romford.
ROMFORD held their usual plethora of Friday night Open races with the highlight being the Coral On TV Maiden Stayers final at 9.20.
The 575-metre decider went to the 5-1 chance Mineola Hamilton who, from an awkward looking draw in this all-railer contest, flew the boxes and took advantage of trouble behind in beating Geneva Crystal and Little Jig in 35.39sec.
The supporting card included a brace of high profile 400-metre hurdle contests with Freedom Man and Glenwood Dream renewing aquantances in the first at 8.32.
The latter, who had won well over C&D last week, blitzed to a new track record of 24.07sec which was aided and abetted by a rare missed break from the now ex-track record holder Freedom Man.
The second jumps race saw Springbok hero Royal Honcho looking to get back to winning ways. However, Seamus Cahill's charge suffered his third successive defeat since that victory when runner-up to Butterbridge Raz who was enjoying his maiden win over timber.
