Taylors Sky: Went well in a trial before racing at Nottingham

THE Caffreys Standard Trophy Final over 500 metres was the highlight of Monday night's Bags card from Nottingham and Bansha Mo (5-1) tookthe honours. Breaking far better than she did in the heats, Harry Crapper's youngster was able to dominate from start to finish amd record her fifth win from just six career starts.

Earlier on the card there were two heats of a MaidenStayers
competition (680m) and Lawrence Tuffin's Recall set the standard in the opener with 42.21sec.
Quickening up nicely from the fourth bend, he steadily forged clear to beat the staying on Sparkling Tammy by a shade over seven lengths.
The second eliminator saw Derrick Atkins' Savana Ben outpace his field on the first circuit to build a ten length lead by halfway.
However, Lough Master came out of the pack to make eyecatching headway and reduce the deficitto less than two lengths with the winner clocking 42.47sec.
The programme also included three open sprint races (305m) and these went to Pete Harnden's Salacres Town (18.08sec), Paula Timmins' Master Tobias (18.03sec) and Heather Dimmock's Forest Breeze in 18.18sec.
Chris Allsopp's Boherna Bridge (28.94sec) took an exciting 480m contest when beating Romeo Absolute and Jordansoilutions in the three-way photo.
Dave Hunt's Sawpit Sensation returned to winning ways when taking the 500m Puppy contest in 30.08sec.

** In trials before racing, Charlie Lister’s Greyhound of the Year Taylors Sky posted 17.85sec (+10) in a 305m solo, while kennelmate and Oaks heroine Silverview Perky went marginally quicker as she clocked 17.78sec.
Another Lister inmate, Bucks Blade, recorded 17.79sec, while Keith Allsop’s June 2010 pup Slick Saleen, two from two at Tralee last backend, clocked an eye-catching 29.82sec (+30) over 500m.
