THERE was a good turnout for the Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy heats at Nottingham on Monday night where Sawpit Sensation (7-4JF) impressed in taking the opener.

Riding early crowding, Dave Hunt's black then showed his trademark back-straight pace to lead rounding the third bend and draw away to beat Romeo Patriot by 2 1/2L in 29.97sec.
Jordansoilutions broke well but slowed markedly on the first two bends and trailed in a well beaten last.
Heat two went to Gerry Ballentine's Swift Frogma (3-1) who showed the best early pace and was able to dominate throughout. Envy Apple King, who came in as a reserve for Droopys Stan (T3), ran on gamely to take second behind the 30.14sec victor.
The highlight of the card was the Sprint Trophy Final at 9.22 for which Dynamo Joe (T6) was a very warm 11-10 favourite.
Carol Weatherall's stripes didn't break all that well butdrove the bend with pace and desire and stormed ahead off the second turn to record an easy success in 17.82sec.

THREE Heats of the Coral on TV Maidens Trophy were the highlight of Romford's card - the final of which will be shown on RPGTV this Friday.
The opening eliminator saw Jim Reynold's Oscars Cobra (7-2) make an early strike for home. Pacing up well and leading into the first bend, the June 10 youngster was never troubled to beat Dandy Dude by 2L in 24.35sec.
Seamus Cahill's Gilbeyhall Ned (6-4F) broke best in heat two and, once he negotiated the first bend safely, was always in command to beat Bonamassa Buddy by 1 1/4L in 24.25sec.
Cahill then followed up in heat three when his Islas Boy (5-2F) squeezed round in front and made the rest to beat Ryves Rock by 4L in a best-of-the-session 24.22sec.
Draw for Friday's final: 1 Bonamassa Buddy, 2 Ryves Rock, 3 Islas Boy, 4 Gilbeyhall Ned, 5 Dandy Dude (m), 6 Oscars Cobra (w).
