PICTURE: STEVE NASHFRIDAY’S meeting between Bob Morton, local MPs and Waltham Forest councillors over the fate of Walthamstow Stadium saw site owner London & Quadrant continue to refuse to contemplate selling to the SOS campaigners.
L&Q chief executive David Montague sat down for discussions with Morton alongside Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy and Chingford MP Iain Duncan Smith, but his comments suggest L&Q remains in no mood to deal.
He said: “It was interesting to meet Bob Morton, and hear about his plans for the site. This is the third time L&Q has met with Bob Morton. His plans have not fundamentally changed and today we expressed again our concerns that his plans are not deliverable.”
