A 1-2 for Pruhs as Frisby flies in Nottingham final

PICTURE: STEVE NASHDUAL Distance competitions seem to be growing in popularity right now and Nottingham's 500m Betfred.com Trophy decider (heats were over 480m) on Monday night was the latest in a line of such events.
The £400 prize went to David Pruhs' Frisby Barney (3-1) who broke best and made all to beat his kennelmate Ballymac Barn (a repeat of their heat run) by 1 1/2L in 30.10sec.
**Bowtime Sykes was a non-runner and trap six was Vacant.
Nottingham also staged heats of another Dual Distance event - this time for stayers, with eliminators staged over 680m while next week's decider will be over the 730-metre stretch.
Terry Munslow's Tynwald Tom (4-5F) justified odds-on status to take the opening heat in 41.68sec and left the impression that he'll be even better over 730m next week.
The second heat saw Dave Firmager's Romeo Patrol, the 4-9 jolly, put in a workmanlike performance to record a slower 41.87sec and set up a fascinating finale next week.
This week's 'Coral On TV' competition at Romford was for Maidens over four bends and fastest of the three 400m heat winners was Parkwest Angel.
It was the opening heat that saw Claude Gardiner's bitch, having her second run back from season, overcame a potentially awkward draw in four by pinging out and making all in a time of 24.12sec.
Quick away, always led was the theme again for heat two when Dave Mullins' Rebellious Mary (9-4F) followed suit to score in a time of 24.24sec.
Russell Senior's Skyline Fleck (5-2F) then completed a hat-trick for front runners when, from the unfavoured red box, he made all in to beat kennelmate Bobs Third in 24.32sec.
