Grand Reward
sires first winner

GRAND REWARD, who ran second in the 2003 Mill Reef Stakes for Aidan O'Brien, was represented by his first winner on Thursday when Angus Kahn won his second start, a 5f maiden special weight, by four and three-quarter lengths at Presque Isle in the US.

Trained by Eric Reed, Angus Khan races as a homebred for Jimmy Little. The colt is the fourth winner from as many foals out of Diablo River.

Grand Reward was placed in six stakes races for O'Brien before switching to the US, where he triumphed in the Grade 2 Oaklawn Handicap as a four-year-old.

The son of Storm Cat owns outstanding connections as a son of multiple Grade 1 winner and Hall of Famer Serena's Song and a brother to Coronation Stakes heroine Sophisticat. He stands at Hill ‘n' Dale Farms in Kentucky for $8,500.
