Classy Rubi Light warms up for Ryanair in style
RUBI LIGHT is now as short as 5-1 for the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival after he hacked up in the Grade 2 Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park on Saturday.
Trained by Robbie Hennessy for his father Bill, Rubi Light was sent off the 2-5 favourite and had little trouble beating his four rivals under Andrew Lynch.
Ladbrokes cut him to 5-1 (from 7) for the Ryanair, a race the son of Network was third in last year. William Hill offer 6-1, the same price as Noble Prince.
"You couldn't ask for more," said Hennessy jnr. "He is a stronger horse this season. That was impressive andgoes for the Ryanair although the ground wouldn't want to be too quick."
John Smith's Grand National fancy Chicago Grey finished 16 lengths behind the impressive winner at 16-1
