Idem heads maximum field for Thyestes Chase

AD IDEM heads a maximum field of 18-runners declared for Thursday’s Goffs Thyestes Chase with Willie Mullins, seeking his fourth win in the 3m handicap, responsible for four-runners.

Ireland’s champion trainer, successful with Micko’s Dream (2000), Hedgehunter (2004) and Homer Wells five years ago, relies on Shakervilz, Some Target, On His Own and Quadrillon.

Dessie Hughes who sent out Siegemaster to land the valuable pot 12 months ago, is double-handed with Western Charmer and Rivage D’Or while other notable entries include Colm Murphy’s GlamGerry and the Charlie Swan-trained Start Me Up.

Seabass was not declared and is most likely going to take his chance instead in the Leopardstown Handicap Chase on Sunday.

The supporting Grade 2 John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle over 3m includes
Voler La Vedette, who bypasses a clash with Hurricane Fly at Leopardstown in Sunday's Grade 1 BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle.

Colm Murphy’s mare, a Grade 1 winner at Fairyhouse last month, faces four rivals including Zaidpour, who is unbeaten in both his starts this season.
