The wait is over for the Racing Post iPad app

THE Racing Post iPad app is available now from the App Store, featuring not only newspaper content but also our Live service, access to our Database, a new Organiser feature and now also Betting at the touch of a button.

The first edition will be available from 8pm the night before publication while the complete edition, updated at no extra cost, will be available from midnight and contain full reports, news, sport and greyhound services.

Access will be free to all for the first 30 days, after which users will be able to sign up for an introductory price of £24.99 per month via the App Store. The daily edition will cost £1.99.

The app comprises four sections - Newspaper, Live, Database - which provides access to form, entries and pedigree information - and Organiser, a feature allowing users to save notes on individual horses and set race reminders. You can now also strike a bet through our app wherever you see a price button in each of these sections, as well as all the card pages.

Racing Post chief executive Alan Byrne said:  "This dynamic, beautifully designed iPad app will transform the way in which our customers access our content. The Racing Post app combines the fantastic reading experience offered by the iPad with our unrivalled coverage of racing and sports betting.

"In addition, we have worked hard to incorporate some new features and functionality into the app which we are sure will surprise and delight our customers. We have listened to our readers and many of the new features, including the Organiser, have been built as a direct response to customer feedback.

"One of the main benefits of the iPad app being available the evening before the paper is published is readers will have time to read the latest news, study the form and review our tipping content in a leisurely fashion."
