IT started messy and it ended messier but Caledonia Lady weaved her way through the crowds to score narrowly from Confessional at Sandown.

Several runners bumped into each other exiting the stalls, doing their chances no favour, and as runners clustered against the inside rail there was little room to manoever, with Caledonia Lady among those hampered.
Entering the final furlong, favourite Spirit Quartz briefly hit the front before Free Zone went on but he could not hold the late, thrusting charges of 10-1 shot Caledonia Lady and 25-1 chance Confessional.
Hayley Turner threaded Caledonia Lady up the inside as Eddie Ahern came wide on Confessional and the pairlashed past the post together - a photo being needed to seperate the two with Free Zone (16-1) third.
Jo Hughes, who was toasting her biggest career success, said: "She needs to be dropped out and at Ascot she had too much to do. She was a bit closer today and got stopped a couple of times but Hayley said that almost suits her.
"There's a race at the Curragh she may go for. She looks like she wants six furlongs, but she's better at five."

FALLS OF LORA was the beneficiary of a determined ride by Frankie Dettori to land a surprise 14-1 success in a close finish.
Seen as the outsider of the his two runners by trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni, Falls Of Lora kept finding and finding after being given a hold-up ride by Dettori and did enough to overhaul Ladys First and hold off maiden Bana Wu.

FRANKIE DETTORI bounced back from his narrow defeat in the Coral-Eclipse with a wide-margin victory on Cavalryman for owners Godolphin.
The jockey was securing a double and the result was never in doubt once he took the lead at the furlong pole.
The 3-1 favourite, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor, stayed on powerfully to score by four and a half lengths. Aaim To Prosper snatched second in a bunched finish for the places.
