How to use search

Horses, jockeys, trainers, owners, courses, stallions, dams - plus the Racing Post website stories database.

The racingpsot.com search facility gives you the best range of searchable horseracing data.

The search box is near the top right of the racingpost.com home page and beside it is a drop-down menu with a default setting of all.

You can search all categories or select one from the menu. Then type your search query into the box and hit the magnifying glass icon, or press return.

Search results will be detailed below with category headings in red. Click on red heading for the results in that category.

For jockeys, trainers, and other persons, the best way to search is to enter their surname only, as jockeys and trainers are filed by their official racecard name.

For example, seaching for 'Frankie Dettori' in jockeys will return no results, but searching for 'Dettori' will.

For horses, you can search by all or part of their name.
