PICTURE: STEVE NASHSAWPIT SENSATION made it five wins in his last six starts with a best-of-night success in a Ladbrokes Mobile Arc trial stakes over 480m at Swindon.
Dave Hunt’s dog, who turned two-years-old this month, made his move along the back stretch and came to challenge long-time leader Hugo You Go at the third bend, going on to score by three lengths from that rival in 28.65sec.
He was winning on his first look at the track, as was Mark Siddall’s Kinsley raider Corduff Star, who made all in an earlier division as he recorded 28.75sec.
Paul Foster’s Swift Tilly scored a local success in the evening’s first trial stakes, leading from halfway and holding off trackmate Glenside Pearl by a length in 28.88sec, Colin Callow’s Sussex Cup champion Longwood Days scored for the first time since August as he powered to a 28.90sec win, while John Mullins’s Coom Bullet just prevailed in a bunch finish as he clocked 29.24sec in a scrappy contest.
The 509m open went to Chris Allsopp’s Sids Dream by an emphatic five and a half lengthsover last week’s winner Burwood Freddie in 30.14sec.
