Flemensfirth tops the bill as Coolmore release National Hunt fees
Charges for Milan and Soldier Of Fortune remain unaltered
Coolmore have released the tariff for their 17-strong National Hunt stallion roster in 2019, with the mighty Flemensfirth topping the bill.
The son of Alleged will stand his second consecutive season at a fee of €15,000 at The Beeches Stud.
Flemensfirth, rising 27 years old, is responsible for 16 Grade 1 winners, including celebrities such as Flemenstar, Imperial Commander, Tidal Bay and Waiting Patiently, as well as rising stars like Relegate and Tornado Flyer.
His progeny duly proved in high demand at the sales once again this year, with a gelding out of Keep Face topping the Goffs Land Rover Sale at €325,000 when bought by Paul Nicholls, and winning pointer Dundrum Wood fetching £270,000 from Aiden and Olly Murphy at the Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale.
Grange Stud stalwart Milan is the joint second-most expensive advertised name on the Coolmore National Hunt roster at a fee of €8,000.
The sire of Grand National hero One For Arthur and exciting novice chaser Santini shares his price with up-and-comer Soldier Of Fortune, who was the busiest sire in Britain and Ireland for the third successive year in 2018, having covered 290 mares, following books of 353 and 304 in 2017 and 2016.
Both Milan and Soldier Of Fortune's fees remain unchanged, as does Walk In The Park, with the sire of Douvan and Min standing on a private basis for the fourth year in a row since his transfer from Haras des Granges.
Two stallions have had their fees trimmed ahead of the 2019 breeding season, namely Dylan Thomas - who will be available at €4,000, having been €5,000 - and Leading Light, whose price has been clipped in to €3,000 from €4,5000.
