Weblog: The football punter
Weekend roll-up can cap a fine punting week
WELL, I thoroughly enjoyed Bilbao putting Man United to the sword on Thursday so what better way to celebrate than pressing up our winnings on a nice yankee to enjoy while watching Soccer Saturday.
Firstly, I never thought it would come to this but I love Blackburn at Wolves.
Rovers have been a bit of a shower this season but Wolves are all over
the place and look absolute bankers to go down if their dismal show at Fulham was anything to go by.
Letting in five goals against West Brom and the Cottagers cannot bode well with Yakubu coming to town and I'll be having some of the 21-10 about Steve Kean's boys.
In the Championship, do I believe my eyes? Are Millwall, 3-0 victors
at Peterborough in the week, really 11-5 to win at Nottingham Forest.
You know, Forest. Lost 11 home games this season, Forest. Done 2-1 on Tuesday at home by lowly Doncaster, Forest.
I'll be having some of that.
Sheffield Wednesday were on fire in the week under dave Jones,
thumping Bury 4-1 and I can see more of the same at Hillsborough with another win over Bournemouth, who haven't scored in their last three matches and are going nowhere fast. They look a cert at 5-6.
And Bristol Rovers didn't wake up until it was too late and I can't
see them getting anything at Torquay. Those Gulls are flying.
A £1 yankee plays about £125. Wouldn't that be nice.
