Top trio look good but Montpellier are a must
Well it was fun while it lasted.
The Premier League title race wasmore of a sprint than a marathon and Manchester United are going to be crowned champions in the very near future despite everyone saying this is the worst Red Devils side in recent history. They said exactly the same last year when United won the league by nine points.
Sir Alex Ferguson's mob have won 11 of their last 12 Premier League matches so if that's below par then who knows what will happen when they finally hit form. Maybe they will be able to live with themid-table teams from La Liga.
Anyway, United are surely certainties again on Wednesday when they head to Wigan looking for a 15th straight against the Latics. Sorry to depress Manchester City fans further but United's last five victories over Wigan have all been to nil and three of those have been 5-0 so there's next to no chance of them narrowing the eight-point gap.
United will win and so too will City, who can start playing again now the title is gone and the pressure has been lifted. Expect them to beat West Brom and another certainty is Arsenal to wallop Wolves at Molineux.
However, for my best bet head to the land of snails and strikes where title challengers Montpellier look a standout bet to beat a Marseille side who stunk in the Champions League and have lost ten of their last 11 matches.
Apparently Marseille will do anything to stop hated rivals PSG winning the league which must make Montpellier's task easier when even the home fans want their team to lose.
