These capital crackers keep on coming our way
People often get a bit carried away by derbies but after QPR v Chelsea last weekend and Chelsea v Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime I can’t get enough of all-London clashes.
Luckily Tottenham take on QPR at White Hart Lane little more than 24 houra later and anything could happen, particularly if Spurs make a match of it by getting two players sent off in the tunnel before kick-off.
I almost felt sorry for Neil Warnock after last Sunday’s game at Loftus Road.
After all, the Hoops beat Chelsea but all the talk after the game was about how well those plucky nine-man underdogs – or should that be petulant multi-millionaires? – played in the second half.
I’m still convinced that QPR are hopeless and destined for a swift return to the Championship so I don’t expect them to cause Spurs much trouble.
Harry Redknapp’s men are white hot at White Hart Lane and there’s no reason why they can’t finish up as top London club, especially if Chelsea and Arsenal keep defending like they did.
The Tottenham/Tottenham double result looks the bet for me in this capital cracker.
And bring on Leyton Orient v Brentford.
