Tasty Shrimps can offset any cost of useless trivia
The early rounds of the FA Cup are great for unearthing useless trivia.
Watching Soccer Saturday I learned that Maidenhead’s home York Road is the oldest football ground in the world that has been continuously used by the same club and that Dmitri Kharine is Luton’s goalkeeping coach.
At my age that kind of information comes at a price so I’ve probably forgotten how to tie my shoelaces or spell my own name now.
Thanks a lot, Sky.
I’ve not got any fascinating facts about Morecambe but I reckon they’re decent value to beat Sheffield Wednesday in the cup.
Wednesday boss Gary Megson hasn’t shown much respect to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy – indisputably the greatest cup competition in the world – so I can’t imagine he’ll be that bothered about the FA Cup.
Morecambe have been in great form in League Two and they should be a real handful for the Wednesday reserves.
Now if I can just remember how to put on a bet…
