Weblog: The football punter
Spending the week in a punting paradise
What a hectic week! I feel like a full-time punter at the moment – sadly not because I’m winning enough money to tell my boss to stick his job but because there’s so much exciting betting action.
We’ve had the Champions League and the Europa League this week, there’s some cracking FA Cup and Premier League games this weekend and I’ve also had half an eye on those farmyard animals leaping over hedges down at Cheltenham.
I’ve got two things to say to anyone whose betting bank has survived the festival. Firstly, well done. Secondly, play up your winnings on Ipswich to beat Peterborough on Saturday.
The Tractor Boys have been pretty poor for most of the season but they’ve hit a rich vein of form, especially at Portman Road.
Their last three home games have featured a 5-1 thumping of West Ham and 3-0 wins against Cardiff and Bristol City and they should continue that great run against a Posh side who are awful away from home.
Right, back to the formbook – it’s never too early to start your
homework for Cheltenham 2013.
