Saints look solid after less-than-super Sunday
FOR all the brilliant football played on Super Sunday, it was still a day that nearly tempted me to dust off the old football boots.
I was allright foot back in my playing days, but I still fancy my chances of giving Johan Djourou a proper going-over racing down the left wing.
And I reckon I'd have had more of a turn of foot than Jermain Defoe to get on to Gareth Bale's cross at the end of the City-Spurs game - you should see me move when they call last orders at the local.
That Defoe goal was a particularly bitter blow because I'd lumped on the Spurs boys and felt that City were there for the taking without Vincent Kompany.
At least United got me out of trouble, though I feel slightly guilty claiming the winnings without donating part of them to Djourou and Andrei Arshavin.
Southampton are unlikely to comeup against opponents quite so hospitable when they face Leicester, but you still have to say the Foxes have been massive under-achievers.
Saints have had a bit of a wobble, during which their amazing home record took a major blow with a 2-2 draw against Blackpool and 1-0 defeat to Bristol City.
But they got back among the goals at Nottingham Forest last week and I'm backing them to keep tabs on West Ham with a victory.
