Palermo in pink make me pretty happy
BACKING Palermo at home a couple of years ago was one of the greatest betting strategies I have ever devised but the system went wayward last season, when the Sicilians became, er, less good at home.
Palermo go through managers faster than I go through toilet roll after a Chicken Phaal, but there have been signs that they are getting back to their best at the Stadio Renzo Barbera, so I'll be getting stuck into them tosee off Lecce in tonight's Serie A action.
People flock to Sicily from all over the world for the food and culture, but teams from mainland Italy can't get out of there quick enough when faced with the mighty Palermo.
It's three wins out of three on home turf for the Rosanero this term and travel-sick Lecce could struggle.
You only need to look at Palermo's home shirts to realise how confident they are.
Who wears pink on a football pitch unless they're pretty sure they're going to win?
