Outspoken AVB all set to be left hating Mondays
Bob Geldof might have to change his tune if football fans get any more Monday night fixtures as good as Chelsea versus Manchester City.
It should be an absolute cracker at Stamford Bridge and as far as I’m concerned there’s only one shade of blue to be wearing tonight.
Chelsea’s back four would have trouble keeping up with a parked milk-float so they’re never going to handle the pace and trickery of Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and David Silva.
If Arsenal and Liverpool can win at Chelsea then City’s superstars, who looked terrific in that pointless win over Bayern Munich last week, should do some serious damage.
The only better bet than City tonight is that Andre Villas-Boas throws his toys out of the pram when Chelsea get beaten.
The Portugeezermay not end up with any trophies but he’s
certainly made an impact in his first Premier League campaign.
At the moment he’s joint favourite with Kenny Dalglish for the prestigious Moaner of the Year title at the end-of-season Golden Bunter awards.
Mind you, I’m not sure whether that’s the kind of silverware that Roman Abramovich was hoping for when he appointed Villas-Boas, though.
