Kindred spirit Mad Dog can help me bounce back

International football, eh?

Rubbish, isn’t it?

I’m still seething after England let me down for a Fridaynight fortune but fortunately I’m not one for playing the blame game.

No, you won’t catch me pointing fingers and naming names.

Wayne Rooney, Wayne Rooney, Wayne Rooney, Wayne bloody Rooney.

OK, now I’ve got that out of my system we can look ahead to the important business of the weekend – Notts County’s League One clash with Hartlepool.

All 13 of County’s competitive games this season have featured two or more goals – as did their mind-boggling friendly at Juventus – so it should be an exciting game.

Martin Allen’s doing a great job at Notts County and I reckon they can pick up another home win today.

I’ve always regarded Mad Dog as a kindred spirit so I was interested to read some quotes about being out of a job:

“Numerous telephone calls were being made and were never returned… Doors were being slammed in my face left, right and centre.”

Sounds a bit like my Friday night, after the missus had found out how much I’d lost on England.
