Hodgson calling upon spirit of Duran Duran
ROY HODGSON has called upon the spirit of Duran Duran to help West Brom win at Wolves on Sunday.
He said: "We've got to match everything Wolves do to the Nth degree.
"If we don't, they might be able to boast after the game ‘we won because we wanted it more than you'.
"If that's the case I'll be very frustrated and very annoyed with our players because there's no reason why any Wolves player should want to win the game more than our 11 men."
So, what Roy is saying, in a nutshell, just in case you missed it there, is that he wants his players to be Hungry Like The Wolves.
I suppose it's a smarter move than trying to get inspiration from Rio. Ferdinand again looked like he was running around with two dead legs against Liverpool and in a weird twist of fate he has become about as mobile around the pitch as Manchester United fan Simon Le Bon is around the stage these days.
Hodgson spoke of the "fearful silence" which is unnerving his side when they play at The Hawthorns at the moment and I expect them to be quite relieved rather than intimidated when they take to the pitch at Molineux.
The Baggies have actually been fairly good on the road - they've only lost at Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton and there's no shame in that - so I'm pretty confident and won't be er, saying a prayer for them now.
