Here's hoping Hammers will help get the ales in

IF Cardiff lose against West Ham today I think the first person who mentions them having a Carling Cup hangover should be forced to down a warm jug of the vile lager.

I dislike the watery tasteless beverage almost as much as I dislike people talking about Carling Cup hangovers, as they were when Liverpool lost to Arsenal on Saturday, conveniently ignoring the fact that the Reds played the Gunners off the park for most of the match.

Anyway, I'll be plumping for West Ham to win this one, although not because of anything to do with hangovers, Carling Cup or otherwise.

I just think the Hammers are overpriced given how impressive they've been on the road this season. They've lost a few but are still outperforming their rivals and I expect them to get the job  done.

And when they do I'll celebrate with a nice bottle of IPA, not any of that cheap fizzy rubbish.
