Dive in for a goals bet in Bernabeu clash

THERE wasn’t much between Bayern and Real Madrid in Munich last week and there wasn’t a great deal to choose between Ribery and Ronaldo in their battle for top diving honours.

My money was firmly on Ronaldo in a dive-for-five matchbet just because he’s a little bit prettier, a little bit more graceful. He just looks a whole lot classier when tripping over thin air.

But fair play to Franck – a couple of times he just had to look at Sergio Ramos and that was enough of an excuse to go to ground so he was never going to be totally upstaged by the ex-United stuntman, and I’m just hoping that Arjen Robben turns up in Madrid after a largely and unforgivably honest display at the Allianz Arena.

C’mon Arjen, you played with the Didat Chelsea, show us some of those training-ground pratfalls that the great master must have taught you.

It’s over 15.5 dives for me especially as you can’t discount a couple of decent contributions from Di Maria. Remember South America invented falling over and the wobbly Argie flies the flag pretty well for his continent.

Over 2.5 goals is also a certainty especially if Alaba decides to let Ronaldo out of his pocket though there’s enough firepower elsewhere if Real’s big-time Charlie does decide to go AWOL.

And the fact is that Bayern are shipping far too many goals for their own good so Real will be in the final and Jose Mourinho can then be elected God, the one title that has eluded him so far.
