City can make wait for ace live action worth it
BOB GELDOF said he didn't like Mondays and I can only concur after enduring this week's offering without a game of Premier League football to watch.
But then maybe waiting for what you want is a good thing.
Sometimes you can have a belter of a Monday Night Football. Remember those 4-3 matches between Liverpool and Newcastle? They were unbelievable.
But they set a standard which could not be matched over the next six days. Just when you were crying out for more, nothing delivers to a satisfactory level.
So I hope Sky have recognised this by leaving us with an empty plate and then servingup a mere aperitif with West Ham against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
The steak with chips, garden peas, onion rings and the sauce of your choice is Manchester City v Chelsea and I'm licking my lips at the prospect of a great game at theEtihad.
He's ice cold that Roberto Mancini but it won't be much use for City if he is too cool in this one.
They have to go for it. They've got four points to make up on United and a draw just won't do.
I still think they can get into contention and everyone looking at this game has forgotten that City haven't dropped a point on their home patch in 14 matches this season.
Chelsea have had a bit of a rally over the last coupleof weeks with four straight wins, but two of those were against the might of Birmingham and Leicester.
This City should give them loads more problems and I'll be going for a home win.
And then we can let the anticipation build before Chelsea take on Tottenham on Saturday.
