Austria Poker Tour next stop on poker roadshow

ONCE upon a time the word ‘poker' was inevitably preceded by the word ‘internet'.

Now it seems that poker has to be followed by the word ‘tour'. The world has gone poker tour mad.

The next tour event is the European Poker Tour leg in Deauville, which gets underway on January 20, meaning some players will have to decide between Normandy and Bolton, where the opening leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour takes place between January 18 and 24.

I am missing both as I tossed up between the Greek Poker Tour, which is currently underway in Vienna - don't ask why, justlook up the definition of bureaucracy in the dictionary - and
the Casinos Austria Poker Tour in Seefeld, the picturesque ski resort, which won the coin flip. I'll confirm the definition
of picturesque next week.

Actually, Austria was not a clearcut decision as there were some other tour events under consideration, such as the Italian Poker Tour in Venice which started on started on Thursday, and the European Masters of Poker Tour finals which are ongoing on Gran Canaria.

This is also where the Spanish Poker Tour Grand Finals were staged last month.

But why go to Spain now when Gran Casino Barcelona have announced it will be staging a €2,750 entry tournament,
a Euro City Poker Tour leg, from March 19 to 21.
